Five years after the solo ride around Australia to raise awareness of depression which inspired a nation, Black Dog Ride is returning to the ride that started it all.
The Black Dog Ride around Australia is back!
58 riders, 7 support crew, 14,500kms and a circumnavigation of Australia in 32 days!
The Ride will commence in Bateau Bay, NSW, on July 26 and finish at Bondi Beach on August 26th. View the Around Australia Itinerary here.
STATE RIDES
380 Black Dog Riders will join the intrepid adventurers on State Rides which will run concurrently with the Black Dog Ride around Australia as it passes through each State. This regional riding adventure is a unique national awareness raising event which will bring optimism to many in regional Australia as well as challenge and energise every Black Dog Rider involved.
FUNDRAISING
Black Dog Ride is riding around Australia to raise awareness of depression and suicide prevention but Black Dog Ride is also fundraising for:
- Lifeline Australia's Online Crisis Support chat service which has already seen it's operating hours double due to Black Dog Ride's fundraising efforts!
- Rolling out Mental Health First Aid's teen MHFA course across to 15-18 year olds in Australian Secondary Schools in every state and territory
